Hi All,

I am chasing the black strip that sits between two r/h rear side windows. does anyone know if this is just a bolt in job or is it fixed. Mine is rusted and needs replacing.

Im also chasing a good rear hatch and set of extractors to suit 2L

Its a bolt in job.  Most Alfa wrekers should have a few lying around in various states of rusty!!

Good rear hatches are becoming hard to find, if you are not restricted by racing regulations (or 'as original' restoration) you should consider putting in a fiberglass one.

For extractors, it depends on your application as to what type you should get.  I suggest contacting Vin Sharp @ Pace Engineering 03 9844 0147

To be honest, I am not really sure.  I have to use a steel one for my class, so I have never looked into it.

Any one else know where to source them  Huh

Thanks guys,
Managed to track down window runner from milano.

One other question, does anyone if theres someone in aust that does rust repair sections, or will I have to make them up. Ive noticed that highwood alfa do some.
I need the lower part of the front guards behind the front wheels, pretty much the only rust on the vehicle except for the rear hatch, which is looking like it will cop a fibreglass replacement. The rest of the car has been drenched in that rust protector stuff they spray on cars when new.Its a pain in the rear they put it everywhere and I mean everywhere.

Cheers

See Geoff at One Malvern (right across the road from Hugh @ Monza), he made up a template when he did my car, he can now make everything from scratch.....the panels just behind the front wheel, the panel in front of the rear wheel and everything in between!!.

See this post for some progressive/sample pics.

Cheers Phil,

Do you have a phone number for him?

I have spoken to garry Wrench re getting a fibreglass hatch made up, but he no longer does them.
I guess I'll keep looking for someone to make one for us, or for a good secondhand one, or I could just replace the old bog in mine with some new bog.

If anyone else knows of anyone that can help me out with either a fibreglass rear hatch or a good secondhand one will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
