2006 marks the 35th anniversary of the launch of the Alfasud in 1971, and the 30th anniversary of the launch of the Alfasud Sprint. This means that this years feature marque at Spettacolo in November definitely has to be the 900 series.
Attention all 900 series owners - lets put on a great display of Suds, Sprints, and 33s at this year's Spettacolo!!!
cheers, Evan.

You guys are unbelievable - I'd support this if you can source a "real" 33 ie. a flat 12 70's sports racer!!

Gee Scott, I thought you would support it because you have existing satisfied customers that race 900's with your cages in them and other 900 drivers out there preparing funds for cages in their cars, thus are potential additional customers for you If i was to get my back up, i would comment that we have recognised the anniversary of most other Alfa series so why not the 35th and 30th Australian anniversaries of the Sud and SudSprints? Last time i checked, they had an Alfa badge on the front grill but of course i wouldnt get my back up cos i love all Alfas and will do anything to encourage all Alfa lovers/ drivers/ owners out of the woodwork.

Hey guys in what year will we feature the ARNA at Spettacolo, Just got to love that Nissan pulsar shape with a Alfa grill! Anyone who bought one of these realy is a second class Alfa owner, or is that a first class Nissan owner?

Thank gawd they never brought those out here. I've actually only seen one in real life, although it really is just a pulsar with a different grille from the outside. I think outside of Europe they sold them as the "Nissan Cherry Europa"...

Out of interest though I think someone in the UK did one of these up a few years ago as a race car and WON the AROC-UK championship... weird.

I love it! Well you already have the roll-cage pattern for a SUDSPRINT so buy Tony Mawdsleys completely rust free, roadworthy prepared red sprint for $1500.00 - $1800.00. I has already had $4500 spent on it in readiness for registration but that never happened. You can see some "before" shots of it in the copmeptiotrs gallery on the www.trofeoalfasud.com site. Even Mr. Crea owns a 900 now and Jim N keeps talking about doing one up some day so it cant be all that bad Now time for me to search for a TI body kit to fit a SPRINT like in the pic below.. Tough looking car

Now just remember that 4 of the club's committee members now drive Suds - Damien, Andrew (well it's been a while, but it's still a Sud), Ed, and myself. We're planning to hold a special general meeting to discuss renaming the club to "Alfasud Lovers Club of Victoria"!
