This is my first posting so be gentle with me.  I have really nice 1970 1750 Berlina that I bought in Melbourne in November last year.  This is my second classic car but my first Alfa and it’s a hoot.  The car is in really good condition but there is a problem with the brakes.  There is a leak in the vacuum somewhere which causes it to back fire when heal and toeing but more worryingly the curb side rear calliper is starting to stick especially when its hot, I suspect that it drags to some degree all of the time.  My questions are, are the two issues likely to be related if not what is the likely problem with the calliper and is it a specialist only fix?

105 rear brakes have a self adjuster underneath the piston that gets jammed easily.  Best thing to do is pull the caliper off, unbolt the two halves, pull the piston out and remove the adjuster
 What makes you think there is a leak in the vacuum line?  If there was a leak in the line to the brake booster you would notice the brake pedal getting much harder.
