G'day all I own an '85 33 which of late has been causing me some grief. 1st the engine died whenever i touched the throttle, found that by bridging a contact on the carby motor keeps running (something to do with engine overheating i think as the wire connects to a second engine thermostat) Now couple of weeks later and the engine has started overrevving at idle when it warms up (have to let the clutch out in gear to force the engine back to idle speed when i stop) Am thinking its a timing advance problem as it doesnt start happening till the motor has warmed up Have a Marelli disi i think but the manual i have shows a vacuum advance unit on the disi which mine doesnt have Dont know if one problem is related to the other as i cant find any info that seems to match my car Some info seems the same except my car doesnt have the alfa computer or the vacuum advance unit  Huh
