Hi all
After a recent incident with a wall, i have had a car sitting on a trailer in my garage for the last few weeks. This weekend i decided to have a look at getting it off. The car seems to have a broken torsion bar, but on a closer inspection the whole bar with the rear mounting are spinning within the floorpan rib. It is an 85 gtv6 with the short bars that mount into the floorpan ribs not into the bridge.
 Thanks if you can help.

I think you'll have to cut it out and have it rewelded (the mount that is).

I know it was a while ago now, but if still not fixed...could always convert your car to long Bars and just add/fit the early alfetta torsion bar cross member, should go in easy enough. Worst case, you may have to drill 2 holes.
