Hi All,
My 156 is a 98, 2.5V6 6sp manual model. I owned it in the UK and couldn't part with it when i came back to Oz.
She came off the ship looking fine, however now seems to stop at 5000rpm. It's like a rev limiter. Possibly valve timing?
I've moved from Perth to Brisbane and would appreciate your thoughts you might have plus any positive comments about Alfa specialists in Qld / Brisbane.
Thanks in advance.
Jason.

From the little knowledge I have about alfas, your problem might be the MAF (mass air-flow) sensor which is located somewhere near the air-filter box. Apparently it is a common problem with the V6 156's.
The problem usualy manifest itself as a loss of power at higher revs

As far as Alfa specialists go in Brisbane, go to the Qld Alfa Owners Club site and look at the advertisers list.

The link is:  http://www.aroca-qld.com/.

Cheers
