VIN, Engine numbers claim it to be an original 1971 GTJunior 1300 (with 1300 motor) but i am waiting on official report from AR.
Flat nose not step nose but with an extra set of connected headlights shoved in aftermarket to make it look like a 1750.
Interior is very good to excellent, headlining above average with a hole or 2 but not water staining (Gary - correct nil centre console, rubber mats not carpet).  Front grill sections missing due to the "bastardised 1750 look".
Requires new tyres all round and metal replacement in approx 4-5 places including sills and boot gutters.  Paint is average with some cracking, peeling to show the previous yellow then the original fawn colour (no paint code decal to check code).  Some crappy darker red paint on the bonnet and front guards.  Might brighten up a little with a cut'n'polish.
All badges intact, bumpers bright but dented (i would remove anyway).

Asking under $3k running and licensed/registered.
Anyone want to suggest what they reckon it is worth as is?

Sounds like a good project for 3k, but I reckon wait and try and find a 1750.

There's one I've seen advertised in Vic, the pictures that go with the post have changed since last week though, not sure what's going on there......Last week they were pics of a red 105....Huh?

Wonder how much rust was painted over 5 years ago?

I would think it is worth close to the asking price (Bec will kill me). May be offer 2000 plus a bit. There has to be some value in it being over there and you being able to see touch and smell it. The freight from the eastern states wouldn't be cheap, and lets face it you need something to tinker with.

AR confirmed overnight it is a 1971 1300GTJunior.  original colour - Beige Cava (yuck) with Black skai interior (nice).
Basically if the guy can get it re-registered (let it lapse 12 mths ago) in his name and it is running properly, i will probably pursue it.

If not registered, i wont go any further. Why? cos it'll need an over the pits inspection which means all rust work done before i can even drive it and i WONT have the money for body work for 6-12 mths so it'll just be driven occasionally to keep it mand me interested.
Inspections (no RWC system over here) are HARD.  I nearly didnt get the 156GTA through despite that it was even bought here. Too low they said!
Bizarre, cos you should see some of the old crap being driven on these roads.  WA has the oldest average privately owned car fleet in OZ - by a long way!
