Damien,
we look forward to having you on board.

The club conducts a number of social events, drives and competition days during the year.  Your idea is great so i suggest join up and offer your services to the committee to put this type of run together.  We have over 700 members so the more opportunities people have to attend events the better.

We look forward to you joining up and introducing yourself at the next club night.

have a chat with one of any of our advertisers - you will find them on the club website.  Maybe select the one easiest to go visit.

Thanks for the research effort Colin.  A few hearts have returned ot normal output, mine included but if you had one installed in 2006 it is therefore complaint to 06 rules but should be log booked to protect this which you still have 2 months to do anyway.

Will look forward to the next CAMS mag to verify this.

533  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Anyone used Toyo R888's ? on: October 05, 2006, 12:04:27 PM
where are you buing from - Meridian?  I believe they have the best price for these as they are a stock item nd they (the TOYO R888's) are becoming more and more popular and not only due to price point.

i have used the TOYO "Proxes" as did a lot of WA competitors.

Colin Goundrey might use them.

what's the pcd of a alfetta GTV please?
Also i notice no Dunlop D01s on the list and many club sprinters run those which is a pity
536  Other / Historic Group S Racing / Re: Project 'S'! on: September 29, 2006, 09:22:32 AM
okay, we are both right...
Sc rules state - "Wheels are required to be in original diameter.  Replacement sof standard style wheels by period style alloy wheels will be considered on individual application".

So, you need to go see Graham Hoinville and get em approved before your first meet and they cannot exceed 6" width or 60% profile.

Tyres are a control item too.
537  Other / Historic Group S Racing / Re: Project 'S'! on: September 29, 2006, 09:15:30 AM
As Branko states, they need to be period style... but its more than a sphincter issue.
I believe they also have to be ex factory i.e. a genuine alfa optional wheel to the standard steel road wheels which is why all the other Group Sc drivers run original wheels even in comp. although running R-specs on steel rims does raise another issue...

Happy to be corrected but...

are you keeping those gold rims?

not that they look healthy in these pics, but i might know someone who might like them especially given you cant use those in group S. Roll Eyes

If someone provides a TV that can produce a decent picture, i could drag out my old projector and screen and we can set it up in the scrut bay once it is clear of cars.

I will discuss with our comp sec tonight
