3  Technical / 116 Series (Alfetta Sedan/GT/GTV & Giulietta Sedan) / Alfetta GTV half roll gage on: August 20, 2008, 07:27:17 PM
I am currently considering fitting a half cage to my alfetta gtv. Does anyone know of a second hand cage that would be for sale? If not i would really appreciate some info on approximate costs on having one made and where is best (cheapest) to get this done. i am located in brisbane but could organise transport. cheers, cameron.

i replied in the queensland forum but will reply again. i run a crane cams high energy set up in my alfetta gtv 2.0. kit comes with marelli distributor conversion kit, module and fireball high performance coil. i priced one up for another forum member today. can supply kit for $450. this is high performance gear and will as good as anything out there. easy to fit too.

cheers, cameron.

g'day lucas, i have an alfetta gtv 2 litre and run a crane cams electronic ignition system, including module and high energy fireball coil. the car already had it fitted when i bought it but i have fitted similar kits to other vehicles and they are very easy. mine never misses a beat and the performance is great. haven't had to touch it since i bought it. you can look up www.cranecams.com.au for your nearest supplier or ring me at work and i can get a price for you. my opinion is this would be an easier option than modifying distributors to suit.
cheerio,
cameron.

g'day lucas, unfortunately i'm a bit late but i own and run a workshop at albion called automotion. next time you need someone to look at your car let us know. we love working on and maintaing alfas and have vast experience with italian cars, mainly ferraris and maseratis. if you are out at queensland raceway this weekend for the italian challenge say hello. we will be there with my gtv and we sponsor another race gtv. in the meantime look up automotion.com.au.

8  State Divisions / Queensland / top gear sprints in june on: June 08, 2008, 11:38:32 AM
G'day my name is Cameron, i was out at QR for the SAS on the 24th may with my grey alfetta gtv. I'm very keen to get out to the top gear sprints but have a few questions. Will there be an all alfa group?  Also will the road registered cars be mixing with the race cars? Although it was fun to mix it with dodge vipers and evo's etc i would be keen to be out on the track with cars relatively the same speed. Looking forward to seeing how much difference R-spec tyres make over 6 year old road tyres. By the way if any of you guys need any help with car set up or mechanical work go to www.automotion.com.au. we would love to help out alfa club members.
