Three of them are very light alloy... original Alfa Romeo by Campagnolo - the fourth is also an original Alfa wheel but another manufacturer and slightly heavier. I am looking for a fourth genuine Campagnolo... if anyone has one... stamped e36 14 x 6.

Thanks

I have only recently got my 1973 2000 GTV back from Maranello Motors in Melbourne.

They have done a fabulous engine rebuild... and at this point I can only highly recommend them.

Bruno has done a great job... and communication was great... I know the test is time and miles but she pulls beautifully... only problem... now I notice all the other mechanical things I want to fix... at least I know who can help.

Once again Maranello Motors in Brunswick... did a great job... as recomended by Ed and some others on this site.

Thanks

Mark

5  Technical / 105/115 Series (105 Coupe/Spider/Berlina) / 105 engine rebuild??? on: January 22, 2008, 12:30:19 PM
Hello,

I have had my 1973 105 GTV since 1980 and she is desperatleeeeee in need of a total engine rebuild.
Can anyone suggest a good place to have this done... my regular mechanic cannot do the job at the moment... I have pistons rings and liners... I am after a great job... as it needs to last me for another 27 years...Huh

At the moment is is sitting in a workshop - head off - ready to check the bottom end... but while we are at it... lets do it properly.

while she is being worked on are there any simple mods that will give some more sparkle... valves, porting... etc...and perhaps let her run on unleaded???

I look 4ward to your advice... until then I have to drive my sons sprint...

Thanks

I have had my 1973 2000 GTV since I was 1980 (it was my fathers from new) and in that time it has only been electricals (only 3 times in 28 years) that have let me down.

I have driven it every day during that period... sure there is the rust issue and sadly she is at the moment needing an engine rebuild... but it would take a Ferrari to get me out of the drivers seat.

Speaking of an engine rebuild... can anyone suggest a good place to have this done... my regular mechanic cannot do the job at the moment... I have pistons rings and liners... I am after a great job... as it needs to last me for another 27 years...Huh

Thanks
