You're right about the South African 3 litres. They also ran 6 carburettors. They also had a mean bonnet with a scoop. There are a few guys in WA on the alfagtv6.com forum with SA models. Maybe it's one of them. I remember one of them left the carbies in SA when he bought the car over and had Gotech EFI fitted instead. If it's a SA import, this could be the one.

Could 'Q' spec be 'S' cams and compression ratio?
Maybe also: Who did the conversion if it's a 24valve? Who tuned it if it's got aftermarket injection? Is the transaxle rebuilt/modified at all? Does it have LSD? Has it been resprayed?
Cheers, Scott

Here's the results from my 75 2.5. Stock except for a K&N panel filter. It was the white one that ran before the Fiat 500.
Peak power: 117hp @ 5300 Peak torque: 170Nm @ 2200 and again at 4600 (really flat) And A/F ratio hovered between 11.5 and 12:1 which is probably a bit rich.
Thanks to everyone who organised and helped out, it was a great day. Cheers, Scott

The 75 has an electronic speedo, and I think the GTV does as well because the gearbox is very similar. I'd pull the gauge cluster out and check the connections/earths first.
Like Phil said the bicycle speedos aren't very good for cars, they don't record high enough speeds, and at the upper limit of their range they have coarse incriments, ie you're doing around 100 and the speedo might flick between 92 and 108 for an example.

I have an Alfa 75 I'm wrecking. 1987 V6. No Motor, gearbox, calipers. The tweed interior is stuffed as you'd expect, but the fabric inserts for the door cards are like new. All panels straight and rust free with a freshish coat of red (Rosso I think). All glass as well. Shell has really serious rust in the drivers side sill, A-pillar and plenum but everything else is good. It's taking up heaps of room in the garage, so I need to get rid of it. Car is in Ferntree Gully

Pretty sure they're the same. The brake discs are the same so working backwards you'd suspect they are. I have read that the 3litre transaxle is heavier duty but I'm not exactly sure what is stronger. Diff ration is different, 3litre is 3.54:1 whereas the TS diff is 4.1:1 like the 2.5litre 75 diff. CLutch is different too, one pulls and the other pushes
