So what is the destiny of this car. Any Alfa that was raced in the 70's is of interest and value I reckon. It would be great to see some better shots of it and under the bonnet Smiley

Perhaps if you could tell us your uncle's name I'm sure one of the 'older' members would have known him.

Hi Ishamael,
thanks for posting that. Its exactly what I needed to see. Gives me a really good idea of what I may need to address when I pull my engine soon.

Ciao

Hi Ishamael,
I would love to see a breakdown of the costs. I have 4 105 engines and am deciding which will be the cheapest to rebuild once I get to that point with my Sprint GT Veloce.

I am going to throw these questions out to the people who are always in the background and have never turned up to an event or a meeting.

What is stopping you?

What sort of social activities would entice you to join in?

Is it our deodorant?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Tony

I'll chime in. I only got to one club meeting last year as I have other commitments on Wednesday night, that puts a complete stop to attending those. As for the others, it may be a bit of car shame as my 66 Super really is a rough driver! I am slowly fixing it up as I go but as it has a shocking 1300 diff in it I cant do highway speeds which rules out a lot of runs.
I always plan to get to an event, maybe 2008, might even have my 67 GT Veloce on the road by then!
As for things I would like to attend, I think there is a pretty good variety at the moment. I do like swap meets, skid pan days, and am keen for a few runs through the mountains but as I said, I want a safe car first!
See you in 2008 hopefully!

If it is a 66 it should have a Chassis Number between 10537.298001-10537.298773 Engine Number between 05036.00770-00536.11033
If it is a 66 it should have a Chassis Number between 10537.298774-10537.299737 Engine Number between 05036.11034-00536.20532

Dash should be fake wood and made from cardboard but in the same shape as the Sprint GTdash, seats are low back with a bit of wrap around the sides. 3 bar front grille.

To get the specific build information on the car send the chassis number to ArchivioStorico@alfaromeo.com and ask nicely for the low down on the car. Dont expect to get a reply within 24 hours though!
