4  State Divisions / Victoria / Re: AROCA Annual Motorkhana Nov 16 on: November 17, 2008, 08:45:48 PM
Yes we have a Winner Congrads Phil, Results attached, as Phil said not many runners 17 infact, 5 joined to run on the day and 4 where Juniors, Rory Sutherland was 1st junior. A great time was had by all. Thanks to all who run and all who helped. Mary many thanks for a great lunch. And Andrew thanks for the loan of the car, sorry I beat you in your daily driver, but someone made a nasty comment at lunch about my driving so I just had to make a piont. It is far easier to drive when you are 80% driving and 20% on running the event, them in the morning when it is the other way round, Phil trade the High Tech 08 WRX for a old Low Tech 94 Subi  wagon or next year I will hunt you down.

5  State Divisions / Victoria / AROCA Annual Motorkhana Nov 16 on: November 12, 2008, 05:35:13 PM
The DECA driver training centre is the venue for our annual Motorkhana, those who went last year had an absolute blast and were still grinning 3 days later at the Club night. This is the most fun you will have in your car since you started using the back seat for kids! For those who have not done a motorkhana, it is a test of driving skill on a low speed (normally 1st and 2nd gear only) course between witches’ hats. The car that covers the course correctly in the least amount of time wins. This is the safest from of motor sport and the Club actively encourages the participation of junior members. This is a great way to teach both basic car control and accident avoidance skills. There will be several experienced drivers available for in-car instruction on the day. The club also has access to other areas of the centre ideal for those just about to beginning driving to learn basic driving skills in a suburban street scape without any traffic, under the supervision of a licensed parent. Come along for the whole weekend or just The Motorkhana, but be there. Entry is free. Supp regs and entry below.  To book please contact Anthony at membership@alfaclubvic.org.au or 0400 596 004

The only LSD Transaxles for 116 series car where in V6's, the ratios won't suit your car, Vin Sharp at PACE Engineering 03 9844 0147 builds custom LSD's and close ratio Transaxle to order for 116 cars. Hope to see you around the club soon.

Justin if you install a 2L turbo the the car becomes 3400L with the 1.7 forced induction factor applied. This would move you into over 3000 class and you need 3 drivers in this case to be awarded pionts at a round, and to win the class for the year you need 3 drivers running all year in the class. The only over 3L cars are all recent V6 or V8 powered cars or turbos and we wont see to many of them running in modified for a while yet. The only factory 2L Affetta turbos where the Turbo Delta and none where sold here by Alfa I think and are very  rare, remember that you need the complete orginal engine to run one. there where some after market cars produced by Bennica and Hindoffs but they would fall into racing class as they are after market.

Stu
I thought that you would just follow normal defence purchasing procudures,

1 Buy $20,000,000 plane.
2 Drain 100ml of fuel.
3 Scrap plane.

Is defence that hard up, if so I know a few online hunting stores in the US that sell just about every thing the army could want at drit cheap prices. Well Stu if you are not on any Watch lists yet, you will be soon!
