Sunday 29th January 2017
The club will be holding a display at one of Melbourne’s most significant landmarks on the weekend following Australia Day holiday at Federation Square from 11:00am. With up to 30 selected Alfa Romeo vehicles on display; this event has always proven to provide great public relations exposure for the club by opening our club culture to the wider public, as well as providing a great social event for existing club members and the potential for new members to join the club on the day. Club merchandise will also available for purchase.
We encourage all interested club members, their families and friends to visit on the day.
The club has registered 30 Alfa Romeo automobiles that will be on display.
This particular display, consisting of mainly Spettacolo ‘Concorso’ and ‘Best in Class’ past winners will be the very best exhibit, outside of Spettacolo itself, that AROCA Vic has ever presented to the general public.
Again, we encourage all interested club members, their families and friends to visit on the day.
Car Club Showcase Setup Procedure
With reference to item 1 on the above map; vehicles can be parked on Russell Street Extension for short periods during bump in and bump out. Once we have a number of display vehicles arrive on site, a nominated AROCAVIC event organiser will contact Security on 9655 1999. Security will remove the bollards for access to Atrium at 10:30am.
Security will then direct cars into their positions. FSPL will provide drip trays for all cars.
The Car Club Showcase runs from 11am until 2:30pm.
Once the event has ended Security will direct cars off site as they see fit.
Please note there is no right turn to Russell Street when travelling eastbound on Flinders Street.
Vehicles travelling southbound down Exhibition Street should turn left at the first intersection after crossing the bridge to enter the carpark. ( A Citylink toll point is located after this intersection on Batman Avenue)
